After her home-schooled children learned all the things and grew up, Tasha began writing the stories of her great-grandmothers. She has written two of three novels and the town in her book, Elomina, is based on her hometown of Mineola, Texas. She enjoys spending her time reading, quilting, traveling, and gardening with her two grandchildren when she's not researching or writing. She lives in Tyler, Texas with her husband of 25 years and their two dogs.

Tasha "met" her great-grandmother Lottie while doing family genealogy and the more she learned, the more she wanted others to know Lottie's story. While Tasha's books are a work of fiction, they do have several elements of truth from Lottie's life woven in.
